Xiaomi has been releasing latest devices with awesome specifications and a really cheap price tag. Last month, Xiaomi released a new tablet named Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, it is available in two configurations, one has 16 GB internal storage and the other has 64 GB internal storage. The model having 16 GB storage was released for a price of 999 Yuan (156 USD). The 16 GB version was powered by Android. It hadn't seen a major sale.
Yesterday, Xiaomi released the variant having 64 GB internal storage at 10 AM in China. Mi Pad 2 was available in both Windows and Android version. Both the Android and Windows variant have been priced for 1299 Yuan or $203 USD. And surprisingly, the tablet was sold under a minute. Now the question arises, why was the tablet sold in so less time when the other variant was having a really bad sale? There could be 3 possible reasons,
- Xiaomi did not release many units.
- Customers were waiting for the company to release a variant with higher storage capacity.
- Windows 10
Whatever the reasons were, many fans had a disappointment of not being able to get the tablet. Some users even went to Xiaomi's official Weibo page and complaining and expressed their disappointment.
The Mi Pad 2 features a 7.9 inch screen, as in the Mi Pad, having a resolution of 2048 x 1536. The chipset used in it is a quad core Intel Atom X5-Z8500 clocked at 2.2 GHz. It has a 8 MP rear camera with f/2.0 and a 5 MP front facing camera. The whole tablet is powered by a 6190 mAh battery and the tablet offers a USB Type-C connector.
This one was definitely a shocker...but it did impress me a lot...too bad for the windows version but the android version blasted in to the smartphone market like hell fire..!
